Ouray County sheriff's investigator Joel Burk says two men in a group of seven people using the backcountry hut system Thursday got caught in an avalanche near Ridgway. Burk says a 27-year-old Manitou Springs man died of his injuries, and a 24-year-old man whose hometown wasn't released was hospitalized with a dislocated hip.
