Temporary solution decided on Tuesday by city, contractor and architect. Chunks of ice fell from the sloped metal roof of the new USOC headquarters downtown damaging several cars on Monday. Fire crews shut down portions of the roadway and sidewalk as a precaution, but what will the city do to fix the problem?

The accident happened Sunday evening near Parker Road in Arapahoe County. The patrol said a 1998 Ford Explorer lost control and struck the troopers' car, pushing it into the concrete median and the two troopers. The Explorer also hit the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder that was involved in the original crash the troopers were investigating.

The man was skiing with two friends Saturday on the northeast side of Bartlett Peak between Copper Mountain and Leadville. The teen's friends said he made five or six turns before an avalanche broke about 50 feet above him. He was buried up to his neck, but his friends dug him out and called for rescue.
