Original Story:

Timothy Roath of Colorado Springs died Thursday night after being shot in the hallway of Park Ridge Apartments around 9:15.

When officers arrived, they found the 23 year-old Roath with an apparent gunshot wound. Police say he was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has completed an autopsy and has ruled the death a homicide via gunshot wound.

Investigators believe the victim was singled out in the shooting, and was the target of the suspect.

Police are in the early stages of the investigation, and say they are interviewing witnesses to develop more information on the suspect.
