COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- High school senior Ethan Hahn is getting a lot of attention for something he created.

Hahn built a space flight simulator by himself. It is so large and complex that it is currently being stored at the Civil Air Patrol Squadron.

It has five different computers for five different tasks. Flight data is recorded and simulated images are projected onto a screen. The creation is almost complete.

Hahn has some sound amplification projects, and he will put in a touchscreen that will interface with the orbiter program.

He hopes to inspire Air Force Academy cadets and Civil Air Patrol to learn more and enable them to achieve their goals.

Hahn hopes to attend the U.S. Naval Academy where he will enroll in the undergraduate pilot program
