COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A two-car rollover crash just before 11 p.m. Tuesday trapped one man beneath his vehicle and two men arrested in the incident.

It happened Fountain Boulevard just west of Powers Boulevard.

During the Investigation, Colorado Springs police officers found that Nathan Reedy, 26, was driving a 1980 Ford Fairmount eastbound on Fountain Boulevard approaching Powers Boulevard. The driver lost control of the vehicle and drove off the right side of the roadway. He overcorrected causing the vehicle to cross back over the roadway, striking the raised center median on Fountain Boulevard. The Fairmount went airborne and flipped as it landed in the westbound lanes of Fountain.

A 1989 Toyota Corolla, driven Daniel Hopkins, 22, slammed into the Fairmount as it entered the westbound lanes.

Reedy was ejected and trapped under the vehicle until firefighters arrived and were able to raise up the vehicle and rescue him. He was transported to a local hospital where he was admitted for a serious head injury.

Hopkins did not sustain any injuries in the accident.

Alcohol and speed appear to be a factor in this accident. Both men were arrested.
