KERSEY, Colo. (AP) — A Greeley man says he was kidnapped in Kersey, beaten and robbed before his family paid a $1,000 ransom for his release.

The man told police his former girlfriend, her father and two of their friends were responsible for the attack. All four were arrested.

Kersey Police Chief Pat Carey says the suspects may have connections to gangs.
