LAKEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Colorado's Republican gubernatorial candidates are promising a lively discussion at a forum for conservatives.

The three candidates trying to replace Democratic Gov. Bill Ritter meet Tuesday night at Colorado Christian University.

The forum is sponsored by the Centennial Institute, moderated by former state Senate President John Andrews.

Former congressman Scott McInnis has refused to debate his two counterparts, state Sen. Josh Penry and businessman Dan Maes, in the race for the Republican nomination because he doesn't want to give Democrats ammunition.
