COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Sean Paige was selected to fill the Colorado Springs City Council District 3 seat recently vacated by council member Jerry Heimlicher.
City Council will swear in Paige Monday, Oct. 12, and he will join council at the dais as the 2010 Budget discussions begin.
Paige is presently the executive director for the Limited Government Forum and Local Liberty Action.
From 2002 to 2007 Paige was the editorial page editor for the Colorado Springs Gazette. He brings extensive federal government experience to his new role including: spokesman and press secretary for Alan Keyes for U.S. Senate, 1993 to 1994; personal aide to Chief of Staff John H. Sununu, 1989, Office of Presidential Transition; and deputy press secretary for Robert Logomarsino U.S. House of Representatives from 1987 to 1989.
Paige holds a B.A. in English from Arizona State University. As required by the City Charter he is a resident of the district that he will represent.
