COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs Fire Department lieutenant was injured in a fall about noon on Wednesday during a training mission at Helen Hunt Falls when he fell 80 feet down. His name has not been released.

Information about the extent of his injuries has not been released, though he was said to be conscious when being put into an ambulance.

According to rescuers at the scene, he has been a firefighter for 13 or 14 years.

Details released say last week the department had done a rescue of another person at Helen Hunt Falls, and today's exercise was more training for such a rescue.
