* Nearly 240 soldiers from Fort Carson return from a 14-month deployment later today, just in time for Thanksgiving. The group is with the 1st Squadron, 6th Calvary. * Pet owners dealing with tough economic times will be able to feed their loved ones thanks to a food drive from the Pikes Peak Pet Pantry. The food drive runs until January 1. The goal of the event is to raise at least 2000 pounds of dog and cat food. All donations will be given to pet owners who are struggling financially in hopes that they can feed their pets properly and keep them at home. There are four locations to donate food: Healthy Pets Animal Hospital, 5195 Fontaine Blvd., Fountain; St. Francis Animal Hospital, 8834 N. Union Blvd.; Western Hills Apartments, 810 Western Dr.; or SecurCare Self Storage, 4729 Astrozon Blvd.
