COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- * The best of Colorado brewmasters and six top blues bands converge on Colorado Springs today and tomorrow for a the Summit Brewfest and Blues – a beer lover's "nirvana." It takes place at the Norris Penrose Events Center in support of local military charities and the Pikes Peak blues community. More than 40 brewers will be on hand along with great food and live music. Vote in the "People's Choice" award for "best beer.” Tickets are $25 per person, and includes a souvenir tasting glass. * The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center hosts an opening celebration tonight for the "First Friday Gallery Walk" and the exhibits "Personal Paradise", "Bold" and "At the Foot of the Rockies.” It takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 30 W. * Kick off October with a bash at Stargazers Theater tonight where Tiny Barge is performing. Barge has spent the last five years playing concerts across the U.S., almost everywhere but his hometown of Colorado Springs! Tonight he’ll play the best of rock, rhythm and blues, and Motown.
