Longhorn Cattle Drive -- Downtown CO Springs. Begins at 12 p.m. More than 60 Longhorn cattle begin their walk down Tejon Street as a kick-off to the "Ride for the Brand" Championship Ranch Rodeo

Rocky Mountain Horse Expo -- Norris Penrose Event Center, 1045 W. Rio Grande St., CO Springs

"Rocking the Rockies" -- Fort Carson, Ironhorse Park. Music, food entertainment and fireworks. From 4 to 10 p.m. Use Gates 1, 4 and 20. Need photo ID and proof of vehicle insurance to be admitted on post.

Pikes Peak Art Fest -- America the Beautiful Park, CO Springs. Free music and art.

Buffalo Barbecue -- 16 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food, crafts and live entertainment.

Tri-Lakes Fourth of July! "The Best Small Town Celebration in America!" -- Pancake Breakfast at 7 a.m. Parade begins at 10 a.m., Kids' Parade at 9:30 a.m., Street Fair all day

Fireworks Display, Palmer Lake -- Show begins at dusk

Fireworks Display, U.S. Air Force Academy Athletics Field -- Events begin at  5 p.m. -- Paid activities, food and beverage vendors. Fireworks at approx. 9:30 p.m. Parking is limited, carpooling is strongly encouraged; visitors enter at North Gate, exti 156B. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration may be canceled. No pets allowed except for service animals.

Fireworks Display -- Fired from Red Mountain in Manitou Springs. Pending weather conditions.

Fireworks Display -- Ellicott Volunteer Fire Dept. -- Open House starts at 2 p.m to 10 p.m., fireworks at dark.

Fireworks Display -- Town of Salida. Parade starts at 4 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.

Fireworks Display -- Town of Cripple Creek. Live music, barbecue and fireworks. Events start at 12 p.m.

Fireworks Display -- Town of Canon City, Pueblo Community College. Live music at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks from Skyline Drive at 9:30 p.m.

Fireworks Display and Sprint Car Racing at El Paso County Speedway -- 366 10th St., Calhan. 5 to 10 pm. Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

Fireworks Display and Old Time Fourth of July Celebration -- LaJunta. Bent's Old Fort. From 1 to 4 p.m. Fireworks at Rodeo Grounds at dusk.

Fireworks Display and Celebration -- Woodland Park. Pancake breakfast, fishing derby. Parade starts at 11:30 a.m. Fireworks behind high school at dusk.

Fireworks Display and 6th Annual Rollin' on the Riverwalk, Pueblo. Country singer Collin Raye, Latigo and the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra. Boat rides, food and beverage vendors begin at 4 p.m. Concert at 8 p.m. Fireworks follow the concert. Concert admission is $2 adults and free for ages 12 and younger. Premium seating for $5 and includes Riverwalk Channel side seating and easy access to refreshments. VIP tickets are $25 and include side seating with table and chairs, a pre-concert meet-and-greet with Raye and complimentary beverage. Note: no pets or outside food or drinks are allowed into the event.

Workshop: Enrich Your Life: Paper Sculpture, Colorado College — In this workshop, we will take natural paper fibers and transform them through sculptural papermaking into three-dimensional objects. Students will be led through the basics of fiber preparation and paper sheet formation, will construct basic armatures filled with sand, and then cast the paper over the armatures to create unique objects. Students will leave with the knowledge of how to create  similar sculptures at home in their own kitchens. All experience levels welcome. Two-day workshop, Saturday and Sunday, July 4-5, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Taught by Colin Frazer and Frank Brannon. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Sky Ride -- Watch fireworks from the summit. First-come, first-served. Adults $5, children $4, From 7 to 10 p.m.
